The module content will include philosophy and concepts of social research; research design; framing research proposals; undertaking literature reviews; research planning; quantitative research methods; qualitative research methods; using research for social policy purposes; action, participatory and empowering social research; becoming a reflective researcher.

Content will be delivered on a parallel track to student’s application of learning on a research dissertation, supported by individual supervision.
