Module MANAGING MULTINATIONAL CORPORATIONS

Module code: MN322
Credits: 5
Semester: 1
Department: BUSINESS
International: Yes
Overview Overview

This module takes a multi level perspective of the complexities of managing large multinational corporations (MNCs). The student’s understanding of the challenges facing MNC managers, including subsidiary CEOs and other middle managers in the new global economy and multiple institutional and organisational contexts, is developed and extended. Understanding when and how to adapt subsidiary operations to meet the demands of local contexts while delivering on organisational imperatives is critical if managers are to effectively manage across borders. The key dilemmas arising from this imperative, as MNC activities are increasingly fine sliced across the globe are considered.
