Module CHANGE MANAGEMENT & ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Module code: MN321
Credits: 5
Semester: 2
Department: BUSINESS
International: Yes
Overview Overview

The module explores the landscape in which organisations operate and function at the macro, meso and micro level. It does this with the themes of change management and organisational development in mind, looking at how change manifests itself, theories of change and organisational development, the advantages and challenges of change management processes and programmes, the leadership of change, and best practices in change management and implementation leading to superior organisational development.

The context of change and organisational development is addressed. The processes and outcomes of change management and organisational development are covered, including the types of change and organisational development taking place, and how organisational managers deal with these changes and developments on a strategic and operational level.

Questions concerning the imperative of change management and organisational development, whose interests are being served, the impact on individuals within organisations, and the rationale for engaging in change management and organisational development are unpicked in this module.
