This module considers the analysis, formulation, and implementation of strategy. Business level and corporate level strategy are evaluated in this module. Central to the module is an understanding of the competitive environment and its interaction with choices about how a firm grows and organises to succeed. A central purpose of strategy formulation and implementation is to improve the relative performance of a firm. This module uses concepts from economics and management to provide students with an understanding of the foundations upon which the processes of strategy formulation and implementation are based.
