	This module explores how to lead and how to follow efficiently and effectively in the modern diverse, multicultural and technologically-changing world. The content of this module covers key theoretical perspectives on leadership � from classic to contemporary ones - and discusses their strengths, weaknesses and practical implications. The module also explores the challenges contemporary leaders face due to changes in the society and economy that reshape relationships at work. The module also discusses how leaders can deal with these challenges. The module explores core elements of the leadership process, such as leader�s characteristics and behaviours, influence processes, role of followers and relationships with them.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Critically appraise extant leadership concepts and identify the conditions under which each is likely to be effective; Discuss the challenges contemporary organisations face and explain how these challenges impact leadership; Apply these concepts to the analysis of real- life situations, identify potential problems related to leadership issues and develop informed solutions on how to improve leadership capacity in a particular context; and Appraise their own leadership and followership preferences, styles and behaviours and discuss how to adjust one�s own leading or following behavior in order to fit better to the given context.
