This module explores how to lead and how to follow efficiently and effectively in the modern diverse, multicultural and technologically-changing world. The content of this module covers key theoretical perspectives on leadership – from classic to contemporary ones - and discusses their strengths, weaknesses and practical implications. The module also explores the challenges contemporary leaders face due to changes in the society and economy that reshape relationships at work. The module also discusses how leaders can deal with these challenges.

The module explores core elements of the leadership process, such as leader’s characteristics and behaviours, influence processes, role of followers and relationships with them.
