• Identify the stages necessary for planning and producing a completed screenplay
• Demonstrate familiarity with the practise and use of screenwriting conventions, narrative structures, and other devices in screen media
• Comprehend the screenplay's function as a blueprint for screen media production and its role in the screen industries
• Practise the time management skills necessary to produce a major piece of creative writing
• Analyse their own and others’ work in a professional critical manner and effectively communicate their observations.

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded

• Pass standard: 40%
• Could the result of this module be capped? No
• All module assessment components must be submitted in order to complete the module.
• Penalties: No continuous assessment will be accepted after the examination period in the semester in which such work is assigned, unless this condition is exempted for documented medical or personal reasons agreed by the Module Coordinator. 5% per day penalties apply to late submissions, unless extensions are granted for documented medical or personal reasons, agreed by the Module Coordinator. Attendance at lecture/seminars is mandatory. Students must attend all lecture/seminars, unless exempted for documented medical or personal reasons agreed by the Module Coordinator. Students failing to meet this standard may be required to repeat the module.
