This module seeks to explore the relationship between feminism and constitutional law from a comparative perspective. Topics to be covered include but are not limited to, women in constitutional judging, gender parity in legislative bodies, the relationship between democratic theory, feminist theory, and constitutional theory, as well as feminist constitutional change and adjudication (e.g, equality, civil and political rights, reproductive rights, etc). The exploration of the relationship between feminism and constitutional law will be done through case studies on specific constitutions and courts from the Global North and the Global South.
