| This module examines the rules and institutions of the legal system of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and explores fundamental concepts in the core areas of Chinese law. The content ranges from Chinese legal history, the Chinese legal system, the Chinese Constitution, the Civil Law in China, to Chinese approaches to international law. The aim of the module is to introduce the structures, institutions, and features of the Chinese legal system and improve understanding of Chinese law as compared with common-law systems. Any aspect of this module may be changed in any given academic year, subject to the discretion of the module lecturer. |
