	This module provides students with knowledge and understanding of the operational rules of contract law, and particularly, the principles that guide formation of a valid legal contract. Topics covered include themes in, and the nature of, contract Law, elements in the formation of contract including the offer, acceptance, consideration, third parties and intention to create legal relations. 	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Identify and discuss the underlying principles of the liberal contract. Outline and compare the elements that form a valid contract. Examine and write on the elements required to form a valid contract. Evaluate the use of case law in particular areas of contract formation and draw conclusions on applicability and consistency with precedent. Define, discuss and justify public policy. Evaluate the import and role of public policy in the failure of contract formation. Complete assignments and do independent legal research.
