Overview Overview

This module is the first part of a year-long examination of the European continent during the Second World War (but may be taken without the second part, HY315). Its focus is on Nazi plans for the future of Europe once a German military victory had been secured. As such it considers the often contradictory political, economic and racial aims of the Nazis and how they proposed to bring them to fruition. Special attention is paid to the origins and implementation of the Final Solution and its relationship with the course of the war.
