	Overview
	The phenomena of Terrorism has been one of the defining issues in International Relations (IR) and Security Studies in both the 20th and 21st Centuries. This module will look at the evolution and development of Terrorism Studies that will also encompass the often-contentious nature of how to define terrorism. Encapsulated within this will be several case studies from the historical archives of various terrorist campaigns taken from around the globe.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: have a broad understanding of how terrorism has impacted societally, governmentally, and socially within countries which it has impacted. have an understanding of how and why terrorist campaigns evolve and develop have further developed writing and analytical skills write an analytical essay related to the topic
