The Earth is facing multiple, interconnected, global-scale environmental challenges in the 21st century. This module aims to allow the investigation of these challenges, focussing on a several topics of global concern. The learning activities associated will comprise different mixtures of in-class, field-based, data analysis and/or laboratory work. The module will allow students time in classes, discussion, planned learning activities and aligned assignments to explore these issues in depth including how and where to source up to date data and information on the topic.
