| This course offers students an opportunity to further develop their language skills, with a focus on strengthening their ability to partake in professional level conversations within the business world. Through an introduction to intercultural awareness, discussion based practical exercises and examining real-life examples, students can confidently ready themselves for a career in the business world where German is a language requirement. The course covers a range of diverse topics including correspondence and communication, customer conversations, marketing, and presentations. Students will read and understand business-related texts and will be able to generate summaries describing charts and/or graphs. The course will be useful for all students who wish to live and work in any German-speaking country, or in any industry where German knowledge would be a desirable or required competency.
IMPORTANT NOTe Since this module involves aspects of the German language, which will also be tested in the Continuous Assessment and/or exam, an intermediate knowledge of German is a prerequisite. |
