| | GC296A & GC296B are modules designed for students new to ancient Greek, who want to explore the language of Homer, Sophocles, and Plato in their original form. 'Introduction to Ancient Greek' offers a rigorous 'starter' on the Greek language and its profound impact on literature, philosophy, and history. Beginning with the alphabet and proceeding through the basics of Greek grammar, syntax, and vocabulary, students will be guided through a series of progressive readings that provide a thorough grounding in the language, while also introducing many aspects of ancient Greek culture.
NOTE: A minimum number of enrolments is required for these modules to run each semester. |
