• To introduce a range of numerical methods for solving common engineering problems. To instil an appreciation of the limitations and pitfalls of simulation.

• The Pass Mark is 40% - students are not required to pass the written and continuous components separately. 
• Penalties: Late submission assignment will incur a penalty of – 10% per working day (or part of) late.

• Are supplemental/resit registrations permitted? Yes
• 1 x 2 hour written examination (Autumn). The continuous assessment mark is carried forward as there is no facility for repeating the continuous assessment elements of the course.
• University scheduled written examination (Autumn): 120 minutes, On-campus

• EE208 Object-Oriented Programming, EE211 System Dynamics, EE212 Complex Analysis and Vector Calculus

No Required reading.
