| On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: - understand the dynamic processes by which curriculum is designed and implemented
- apply knowledge of the individual potential of pupils, dispositions towards learning, varying backgrounds, identities and experiences to planning for teaching, learning and assessment
- implement a range of methodologies to achieve planned outcomes
- evaluate learner progress towards those outcomes
- conduct and apply relevant research, as appropriate, to his/her teaching context: identifying, critically analysing and critically integrating new pedagogical insights into his/her practice
- critically interrogate the process of curriculum development, design, implementation and evaluation
- critically evaluate curriculum provision in the Irish context.
