Courses / Module

• Identify a research topic.
• Write an initial research proposal.
• With supervision prepare a proposal to the point where research can begin.
• Identify informants, groups or individuals who may provide primary research data. Subject to approval of the supervising department, such data can include published primary documents, publicly available survey datasets, and similar materials.
• Understand the methodological process involved in carrying out an extended piece of social science research.
• Under supervision bring the research topic to a successful conclusion.

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded

• Pass standard: 40%
• Could the result of this module be capped? No

• Are supplemental/resit registrations permitted? Yes
• Resubmission of thesis not meeting 40% requirement in August.

• Students must have successfully completed a minimum of 120 ECTS on the BA Community Studies MH803.
