Courses / Module

• Evaluate the validity of existing anthropological and other social science research on a particular special topic in Anthropology, and
• Orally present relevant theoretical and ethnographic data pertaining to the topic in question, and
• Discuss critically, in essay form, recent theoretical and ethnographic works in Anthropology on the topic in question.

• 24 class-contact hours comprising of lectures, presentations and facilitated discussions.

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): End of Semester written assignment (2,000 - 2,500 words)

• Pass standard: 40%
• Could the result of this module be capped? Unauthorised late submission

• Are supplemental/resit registrations permitted? Yes
• For autumn resit, the major assignment only may be submitted. There will be no re-submission of other continuous assessment components. Marks received during the semester in respect of in-class tests, presentations, minor assignments etc., will be carried over. Essays/projects for autumn resit must be submitted by 1 August and may be subject to a cap.
