Students will encounter key thinkers such as Paulo Freire, Jack Mesirow, Carl Rogers and bell hooks. Overall, the main purpose of the module is to offer concepts and theories which will develop students’ capacity to critically reflect on their own practice, to develop their own philosophy of education, and challenge some of the ways we traditionally think about the purpose of education.
