On successful completion of the module, students should be able to:

• Define a vector space.
• Obtain a basis and the dimension of a vector space.
• Explain the terms rank and nullity.
• Find eigenvalues and vectors.
• Define dual and inner products spaces.
• Deduce simple properties from any definitions given in the course.
• Use the methods from the course to solve problems.
• State definitions and theorems covered in the course.
