In addition to academic achievements, a large number of employers are placing significant emphasis on 21st Century skills as part of their hiring practices. Some of the most important skills employers deem essential for graduates entering the workforce are teamwork, collaboration, and communications skills. In addition, critical thinking, problem solving, analytical thinking, creativity and innovation, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills have all been ranked highly by employers.

Accordingly, this module is designed to expose students to a variety of 21st century skills and to allow them to develop their skillset which will aid them throughout their university journey, but also in their business career. Using an experiential learning approach, this module blends theory and practical application to equip students with the necessary 21st Century skills and develop the knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-changing and dynamic labour market, whilst also contributing positively to society.
