This 7.5 credit module is designed to equip students with the competence to prepare Financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The module incorporates the study of IFRS, IAS, FRS and relevant legislation.
This module covers the preparation of financial statements of companies in accordance with company law requirements and the requirements of international accounting standards. It also covers the preparation of financial statements from incomplete records, the completion of control accounts, the preparation of partnership accounts and the analysis and interpretation of financial statements.
