Finance is taught as an application of Economics. It examines the role of government and international organisations in the management and regulation of financial markets. Finance is the study of investment risk and reward.

You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of Finance, only an interest in how the financial sector and the economy works and a desire to know more. The ability to work in a second language is an advantage for Finance graduates. As an Arts student, you may combine Finance with Chinese, French, German, or Spanish – all are available at beginner/non-beginner level (except Chinese - only beginner level).
