This Certificate programme is designed to enable participants to develop an appreciation of the principles and processes that underpin social inclusion and equality focused community work and to participate in, and contribute to, sustainable community work initiatives in their own communities.
The 20 ECTS Certificate programme is delivered over approximately 100 hours of contact time. The programme is delivered in a variety of ways including blocks on campus and online learning. Lectures will be used where appropriate, though the emphasis of the programme will be on experiential learning through workshops, seminars and practical assignments, with structured reflection/discussion to promote integrated learning.
Additional student effort hours include preparation for upcoming sessions, group learning and project work, as well as completion of associated continuous assessment exercises.
