|
Details | |
---|---|
The Big Bang, particle physics, black holes, fractals, chaos, quantum computing, field theory, vector calculus, Einstein’s Theory of Relativity, quantum physics and the great ideas that shape our understanding of our universe and the way we think, are just some of the topics you’ll come to grips with as a student of Mathematical Physics. Mathematical physics, or theoretical physics, is one of the most exciting and dynamic areas of study. Theoretical physicists study the entire physical world from the microscopic astrophysical world. The scope of its subject area ranges over such topics as, semiconductors, lasers, fractals, chaos, black holes, the Big Bang, the fundamental forces of nature, neural networks and the simulation of physical and biological systems.
This accelerated three year programme is designed for students with a very strong interest in theoretical physics and who are strong in mathematics. Students take Theoretical (Mathematical) Physics and Mathematics throughout the three years of the programme.
