Watch our Data Science HDip Video Data analytics/science is the science of extracting insight from large amounts of raw data in order to enable better understanding of the processes that created it and so help in analysis, theory exploration and decision making. These techniques can be applied in the natural science, social science and business domains. The Higher Diploma in Data Analytics is a new, purpose designed course which has been carefully designed to address industry needs. The course is a collaboration between the Departments of Mathematics & Statistics, Computer Science and the National Centre for Geocomputation. The modules are designed to give students the knowledge and skills to collect, process, analyse and visualise data in order to extract useful information, explore statistical patterns, test hypotheses, and explore the implications of models. This course is eligible for significantly reduced or free fees under the Springboard funding initiative. Further details and application are available via the Springboard website. Springboard plus is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union [[asset:image:41847 {"mode":"large","align":"none"}]] |
