• Provide a competency in methods of data collection and analysis required for the development of independent research topics.

• Workshops will be delivered as intensive week long sessions focused on methods of data collection and analysis to assist in developing independent research.

• Continuous Assessment detail(s): Each workshop option will have a credit weighting of five. Students will be required to take four options. Examination is based entirely on continuous assessment. Students will be required to complete a focus project on each option under the supervision of workshop leaders. Each project will be marked out of 100%.

• Pass standard: 40%
