In this module, students will have the opportunity to explore how Latin American literature and culture can provide a lens through which to view and interpret the social and political complexities of the region. Through close analysis and detailed contextualisation of a range of contemporary literary, filmic, and theoretical texts, the course will examine how fictional narratives can help to shed light on a range of contemporary issues such as inequality, precarity, and the legacies of dictatorship.
