This module will consider short narrative forms as they have evolved in Latin America throughout the twentieth century and up to the present day. It will consider how genres such as the Gothic and the Fantastic have historically inflected Latin America’s rich storytelling tradition, and will also consider how more recent short fictions have aimed to engage with contemporary political and social issues facing the region. |
