Module LINKING EQUALITY AND SOCIAL INCLUSION

Module code: SP302
Credits: 2.5
Semester: 1
Department: APPLIED SOCIAL STUDIES

Overview Overview

This module focuses on the links between socio-economic inequality (redistribution) and group/identity-based inequalities (recognition). Conventionally the responses of social policy to these dimensions of inequality are compartmentalised. The module looks at the challenges and opportunities for developing a more integrated approach, for example in relation to ethnicity and poverty.

As this is a 2.5 Credit module (2 hours per week), please note that this module will commence in the first six weeks of semester 1.
