	Overview
	Social Analytical theory from a Community Development perspective will be utilised to inform students toward active citizenship. Facilitated tutorial workshops will build on the material from module 1 and begin to prepare students for further and deeper engagement with the programmes envisaged for the proposed Centre for Experiential Learning. Content will include workshops on Mental Health and Wellbeing; coping with loss, coping with change; Harm Reduction and Risk Management in the areas of Drugs, Alcohol and Sex. Input will be included from all of the student services: ¿ Disability Office, ¿ Counselling, ¿ Student Finance, ¿ Careers, ¿ International Office, ¿ Community Engagement and Volunteering ¿ Outside agencies as appropriate.

Assessment

	Autumn Supplementals/Resits
	Are supplemental/resit registrations permitted? Yes • The repeat option for this course consists of a supplemental assessment submitted for marking at the Autumn exam board meeting which will consist of two written assignments and an information literacy assessment. The supplemental assessment is unavailable to students with less than a 50% attendance rate. • Failure to attend at least 50% of the classes will result in a module mark capped at 35%.
