• Identify a suitable research topic in the field of Early Irish and Celtic Studies.
• Demonstrate familiarity with the major primary sources and secondary literature on that Topic.
• Development of analytical and critical skills necessary for the undertaking of original research
• Development of advanced written skills, and ability to use consistent referencing and formatting skills.

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded
• Continuous Assessment detail(s): One written dissertation (c. 8.000 words).

• Pass standard: 40%
• Could the result of this module be capped? No
• Penalties: Marks will be deducted for late submissions.

• 65 or higher in the subject mark.
