• Describe core concepts and issues in selected advanced specialist techniques and methods of analysis in psychology;
• Articulate the strengths and limitations of selected techniques and analytic methods;
• Illustrate the application of specialist techniques and/or theoretical perspectives in research;
• Interpret outputs of research employing specialist techniques and methods of analysis.

• Summer schools, workshops, seminars. Teaching and learning methods will vary according to selected methods.

• Module Graded (numeric value) or Ungraded (Pass/Not Passed): Graded
• Other detail(s): If the training event has prior accreditation or Continuing Professional Development points awarded by either the Psychological Society of Ireland or the British Psychological Society the attached weightings will be used for assessment purposes. In the absence of such arrangements, the following will apply: 50% for verified preparation and attendance; 50% for a 1000 word summary of the event or a presentation to the department.
