Module Content: Undertaking empirical research based on quantitative and/or qualitative data. The quantitative and/or qualitative analysis of those data. The presentation of those data in the context of a research report written according to current standards within the discipline and structured according to the Department's Research Project Handbook. Students’ knowledge of a wide range of issues relevant to psychology will be assessed in the end of year General Examination Paper.

Module Objective: To provide experience in conceptualising and conducting empirical research in psychology, and to establish the skills necessary to produce a report of that research presented according to current academic standards within psychology.
