	Overview
	Neuroanatomy of cortical and subcortical regions; Neuropsychology of the visual system; Neuropsychology of acquired brain injury; Neuropsychology of disorders of the temporal lobe; Neuropsychology of attentional disorders; Neuropsychology of aging and neurodegenerative disorders; Technological developments in the field of neuropsychological assessment and intervention: computerized tools and virtual reality applications. Module Objective: To explore aspects of neuropsychology in relation to specific areas of the brain, and damage and pathologies of these areas, with an emphasis on discussion and critical thinking in relation to classic studies in neuropsychology.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Describe the history and theoretical bases of neuropsychological research; Demonstrate knowledge of functional human neuroanatomy; Describe key methods used in neuropsychology; Differentiate between acquired, congenital and pathological syndromes of brain injury and their neuropsychological features; Appreciate the use of neuropsychology principles in clinical practice Describe key experiments that have shaped contemporary behavioural and cognitive neuroscience. Critically evaluate the methodology and conclusions of seminal papers in neuropsychology.
