This module runs full-time over 4 months from May to August. Learners carry out the research project in pairs, on behalf of a real organisation. They liaise with the organisation, identify strategic goals and carry out primary research with a view to identifying innovation opportunities for the organisation. At the end of the project the learners present their innovation proposal with detailed market validation, costing and implementation plan to a forum of the class and to the organisation’s senior management representatives. Each learner produces a 30,000 word dissertation presenting and defending their work.
