•To apply these fundamentals in programming a simple microcontroller in a selection of basic electronic systems.

•Introduction to algorithms and computer languages.
Introduction to the Internet: www and other tools.
•C++ programming fundamentals:
•Variables and data types.
•Arithmetic and logical operations.
•Sequential, conditional and iterative execution.
•Compiling, linking and running a program.
•Functions.
Computer interfacing to the real-world:
•Sensors and signals.
•Analogue and digital input & output
•Monitoring and controlling an electronic system.
