This module will focus on the nature of sound and sound perception. It will present the basic concepts involved in the phenomena of sound, such as, frequency, amplitude, spectra, etc., and their perceptual counterparts (pitch, loudness, timbre, etc.). It will also include topics on the physiology of hearing, auditive perception, acoustics of spaces and musical instruments. |
