• plan and carry out a short fieldwork project (which can include participant observation, note taking or journal writing, interviews, survey).
• research a topic and compile a comprehensive bibliography, utilising a range of printed and electronic sources
• locate and evaluate appropriate primary source material
• discuss the ethical principles of ethnographic research involving direct work with humans, and apply for ethical approval for potential projects
