	Overview
	The study of analytical tools and methods applicable to music in mixed-media settings. Selected examples of music in screen media (video, television) will be examined and analytical conclusions explored. Students will analyse a chosen case study in depth as part of an individual project.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: apply analytical methods appropriately to music in mixed-media environments; identify and analyse relevant sonic, visual and textual features of screen media; evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a range of analytical tools.
