Overview Overview

This module will introduce students to the concept of computer music languages and programming for music and sound generation. It will study the main elements that make up the most up-to-date systems, as well as provide a historical overview of the development of these languages. It will contrast graphical data-flow programming and text-based programming using two common open-source systems. In addition it will explore sound synthesis, audio processing and music composition within these environments.
