	Overview
	This module explores the techniques of digital audio recording, editing and production using computer workstations. It deals with basic principles of digital audio signals and their representation in software. The module will also include a study of digital multi-track techniques, signal processing and advanced production methods. Listening skills, and the awareness of quality issues in audio production, are examined throughout the course of the module.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: navigate a multi-track computer audio environment with efficiency and confidence. record multitrack audio projects and manage the resulting files accordingly. apply essential tools such as EQ, compression, auxiliaries and busses to audio mastering tasks. make informed and critical decisions regarding effects processing and mixing techniques.
