Overview Overview

This module consists of the following:
1)An Introduction to the study of music at university. Students investigate practical research skills (including library and reference skills), explore writing and listening techniques and learn about the disciplines and practices associated with the study of music.
2) A focused study of four or five works from different genres and periods.
3)The study and personal application of musical notation through online platforms.
4)Participation in an approved departmental ensemble, and either solo performance (First Study) or group piano tuition.
