Module objective:
To introduce students to fractals and dynamical systems.

Examples of fractals. Iterated Function Systems (IFS). Minkowski and Hausdorff dimension. Conjugacy. The dynamics of linear and quadratic polynomials. Symbolic dynamics. Chaos. Sharkovsky's theorem. The Schwarzian derivative and bifurcation theory, if time allows.
