This module considers Human Resource Management and its practices. It is concerned with theories, literature and research about managing people. The rationale is that the entire working body has an interest in, experience of, and responsibility for human resource management. It includes a focus on the traditional human resource management practices of recruitment, selection, performance management, training and development, reward management, and employee relations, as well as contemporary topics such as flexibility, diversity and work-life balance.
