It is apparent that organizations now operate in an increasingly global economy. An awareness and understanding of the impact of operating across national borders on managing (international) people in (international) organizations is fundamental in contemporary management. This module focuses on aspects of Human Resource Management in multinational firms, such as staffing, human resource development, performance management and career issues. It explores the implications of the process of internationalization for HRM activities and policies, as well as exploring how HRM is practised in multinationals.
