The purpose of this module is to familiarise students with the fundamentals of psychology and sociology of human behaviour in a variety of organisational contexts. People in the organization behave differently, and don’t always behave the way you think they will. As a result, your ability to understand, explain, and predict different human behaviours within organizations is a required and valuable skill for your career. This module is designed to expose you to important theories and conceptual models for analyzing, understanding, and managing human behaviours within organizations from individual, group/team, organizational and external environmental perspectives. In this course, we will study a wide range of organizational situations and examples of human behaviours including personality, motivation, attitudes, teams and communication, leadership, conflict and negotiation, organizational structure and culture, human resource and change management, and international OB.
