Module PLACEMENT PROJECT

Module code: MI675
Credits: 30
Semester: Year-Long
Department: BUSINESS
International: No
Overview Overview

This module aims to offer students the opportunity to integrate their academic study with the action learning experience of work placement. Placement seeks to bring the concepts, tools and competencies developed on the Master programme into the realities of work place implementation. Students develop an understanding of the professional and practical competencies and skills required by employers. During the placement period, students will both apply their knowledge from the programme to, and gain new insights into, the practicalities of work life. This learning is supported in this module by taught classes, in-group discussions and exercises which are designed to promote students’ self-reflection on the relationships between theories, and competencies central to career development and work experience. Students are encouraged to critically elaborate on the competencies gained at work, and on how to improve, reshape and prioritise their career management strategies accordingly.
