Module code: MI6227
Credits: 10
Semester: 2
Department: BUSINESS
International: No
Overview Overview

Companies must pay attention to trends such as intensifying competition, increasing globalization, and technological developments. While these developments threaten existing business models they provide, at the same time, many opportunities for the development of new businesses and sustainable growth. In order to capitalize on these opportunities, companies need to develop appropriate marketing strategies that deviate from established ways of thinking and problem solving, and provide a source of advantage. Against this background, marketing consultants will share their expertise from real-world consultancy projects and introduce students to different approaches to successfully manage consultancy projects. Students develop their consultancy skills and apply their knowledge of concepts, frameworks, and research methods obtained throughout the programme to develop alternative strategic marketing recommendations for a specific business problem. Students evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of their recommendations and develop suggestions for their implementation. The business problem students need to address in their consultancy project may be specified by a client company.
