The information resources, systems, and technology owned or available to the firm are an increasingly important set of assets for any organisation. However, in the context of IS management, are the knowledge and skills residing in employees or the employees of third-party vendors are more important. This course will look at what it means to be a ‘Digital’ organisation, what this means in terms of the existing IT function within an organisation, and the changing relationship the IT function now has with the rest of the organisation.
The module is designed for graduates who may not be familiar with foundational material in this subject area. A fundamental objective of the module is to develop participants' general understanding of IT capability maturity, skills, and capability improvement and to move beyond to: a) explore advanced content and b) understand the process and practice of applying their knowledge in specific contexts.
